1) The main objective Is to promote the development and growth of digital Arabic content industry in Yemen .
2) The scope of this partnership will entail two main activates:-
�Launching a national awareness campaign on the importance and opportunities of DAC in the form of one day.
Awareness campaign
� Launching a national DAC competition in Yemen to select the best DAC product .
3) In accordance with this partnership, UN-ESCWA will undertake the following:
a) Share and provide material on the following studies
1- Statues of the digital Arabic content industry in the Arabic region .
2- New business models for the digital Arabic content industry.
b) Develop and provide the competition’s participation form and evaluation criteria for the selection of the DAC application
c) at the end of the incubation period evaluate the DAC proposed models according to the results of the implemented applications .
d0 promote the DAC application / products implemented in the incubator and disseminate the results of the project in the region.
4) In accordance with this partnership, the STC-AU will be responsible for incubating the candidate selected in the national DAC competition by providing the incubate with the following services:-
i. Infrastructural facilities and logistics support
ii. Capacity building for entrepreneurship development.
iii. Legal and business development services
iv. Connection with funding agencies professional institutions .
5) Common responsibilities for both UN-ESCWA and the STC-AU will cover the following activities :
i. Jointly organize a national- level awareness campaign on the importance and opportunities of DAC
ii. Launch and follow up the national DAC competition
iii. Establish the national selection committee to identify eligible DAC application / product
iv. Conduct the evaluation process of the DAC competition as per the evaluation criteria set by UN-ESCWA
v. Follow up and monitor the development of the DAC application / product during its their incubation phase. |
